WHAT WE BELIEVE

GOD

There is one God, eternally existent in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit.

Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 3:16-17, 28:19; John 1:1, 14, 18; 14: 26-28, 17:21; 2 Corinthians 13:14; Ephesians 4:4-6; Philippians 2:6

JESUS CHRIST

Jesus Christ is at the center of everything. We believe that Jesus is the only one who can reconcile us to Father God. He lived a sinless and exemplary life, died on the cross in our place, and rose again to prove His victory and empower us for abundant life.

John 10:10, 14:6; 2 Corinthians 5:15

THE SEPARATION

We believe that sin has separated each of us from God and His purpose for our lives.

Isaiah 59:1-2

THE RECONCILIATION

We believe that in order to receive forgiveness and a fresh start with God, we must believe in Jesus, be born again, repent of our sins, and commit to His will for our lives.

John 3:3; Matthew 3:8

SALVATION

We are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ: His death, burial, and resurrection. Salvation is a gift from God, not a result of our good works or any human efforts. Jesus is the one and only way to have a relationship with God and receive the gift of eternal life.

Ephesians 2:8-9; John 14:6

THE BIBLE

We believe that the Bible is the inspired and infallible Word of God. It is accurate, authoritative, and applicable to our everyday lives.

2 Timothy 3:15-16; 1 Thessalonians 2:13; 2 Peter 1:21

THE CHURCH

We believe in the power and significance of the Church and the necessity of believers to meet regularly together.

Hebrews 10:25

WATER BAPTISM

Baptism by immersion in water is an outward sign and testimony of an inward grace.

Matthew 28:19; Romans 6:4; Colossians 2:12; Acts 8:36-39

BAPTISM OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

The baptism of the Holy Spirit is a gift from God available to all believers in Jesus. He enables us to walk in the same power that Jesus did while here on earth. The initial evidence of the baptism of the Holy Spirit is often speaking in tongues and/or the ability to prophecy.

Acts 1:8, 2:4, 2:38-39,10:44-46, 19:1-7; Matthew 3:11; John 14:16-17

GIFTS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

The Holy Spirit is manifested through a variety of spiritual gifts. They are to build, edify, and sanctify the church, demonstrate the validity of the resurrection, and to confirm the power of the Gospel. All believers are commanded to earnestly desire and seek the manifestation of the gifts in their lives. These spiritual gifts always operate in harmony with the Scriptures and should never be used in violation of Biblical parameters.

Hebrew 2:4; Romans 1:4-8, 11-12; Ephesians 4:16; 1 Timothy 4:14; 2 Timothy 1:6-7; 1 Corinthians 12:1-31, 14:1-40; 1 Peter 4:10

DIVINE HEALING

Healing of the body is available through the atoning work of Jesus our Savior.

Mark 16:18; James 5:14-16; 1 Peter 2:24; Matthew 8:17; Isaiah 53:4-5; 1 Corinthians 12:7, 10-11

THE SECOND COMING

Jesus Christ will physically and visibly return to earth for the second time to establish His Kingdom. This will occur at a date undisclosed by the Scriptures.

Matthew 24:30, 26:63-64; Acts 1:9-11; 1 Thessalonians 4:15-17; 2 Thessalonians 1:7-8; Revelation 1:7

HEAVEN

Heaven is the dwelling place for believers until the establishment of the New Heavens and the New Earth.

Revelation 21:1

HELL

After living one life on earth, the unbelievers will be judged by God and sent to hell where they will be eternally tormented with the Devil and Fallen Angels.

Matthew 25:41; Mark 9:43-48; Hebrews 9:27; Revelation 14:9-11, 20:12-15, 21:8

RESURRECTION

Jesus Christ was physically resurrected from the dead in a glorified body three days after His death on the cross. In addition, both the saved and the lost will be resurrected: those that are saved to the resurrection of life and those that are lost to the resurrection of eternal damnation.

Luke 24:16, 36, 39; John 2:19-21, 20:26-28, 21:4; Acts 24:15; 1 Corinthians 15:42, 44; Philippians 1:21-23, 3:21

MARRIAGE

We believe marriage to be between one man and one woman (from birth ~ no changing the plumbing) for life.

Genesis 2:18, 24; Mark 10:6-9; Proverbs 18:22; 1 Corinthians 7:2-3

ISRAEL

Israel is God's chosen people and land through whom Jesus our Messiah came that the whole world might be saved. God's gift and calling for the Jewish people are irrevocable. The Church has not replaced the nation of Israel as God's chosen people but rather have been grafted into their tree to partake of the blessings of salvation and of Abraham. We pray for and stand with Israel and the peace of Jerusalem and believe that all of Israel will be saved.
